A Journey Through Cities and Plans for the Future

Travel has a way of igniting excitement—sometimes more than I expect. When I finished writing my recent blog post about Venice, I found myself completely swept up in the city’s magic. The thought of its enchanting canals, hidden alleyways, and timeless charm lingered so strongly that there was only one thing to do—I booked flights to return. Venice never loses its allure, and I can’t wait to wander through its streets again, soaking in every moment.

This renewed fascination with Venice reminded me just how much perspective shapes our experiences. Over Easter, I visited Brussels and Antwerp—two cities I had travelled to many times before, but only for business. This time was different. Without meetings or tight schedules dictating my time, I finally had the freedom to explore at my own pace, and I was blown away. Walking through familiar streets felt entirely new, as if I were seeing these places for the first time, discovering their beauty from a fresh perspective.

That same sense of discovery is fuelling my upcoming travels, which are shaping up to be truly exciting. I’m returning to Istanbul, venturing into Chisinau for the first time, and revisiting Zurich—all destinations I can’t wait to experience in new ways. And after Venice, another thrilling adventure awaits—China! Beyond revisiting Beijing, I’ll finally make my way to Xi’An, home to its incredible ancient city wall and the legendary Terracotta Army. It’s a journey I’ve dreamed about for a long time, and I know it will be unforgettable.

If you’re planning travels of your own and need some tips, don’t hesitate to reach out! There’s always more to discover, and I’d love to help. Stay tuned—more travel stories are on the way!

Travel Hack No 8 – Early or Late Entry: A Photographer’s Secret Weapon

Ever found yourself trying to snap that perfect shot, only to have a crowd of tourists blocking your view? Here’s one of the most underrated travel hacks: timing your visits strategically.

Arriving early in the morning or late in the afternoon at popular landmarks completely transforms the experience. Not only do you dodge the peak-hour crowds, but you also set yourself up for the best possible lighting—hello, golden hour! Around sunrise and sunset, natural light is soft, warm, and flattering, making everything look effortlessly stunning.

Compare that to midday, when harsh shadows and flat lighting can dull even the most beautiful scenery. Early entry can also be a lifesaver for avoiding long queues at major attractions. Some places even offer special early-access tickets or late-night tours, giving you exclusive opportunities to explore without rushing through packed corridors.

Photographers, take note: quieter moments allow for creative long-exposure shots, whether it’s capturing an empty city square or experimenting with night photography, where illuminated landmarks take on a whole new magic. And if composition is key to your style, fewer people around mean cleaner, more striking visuals with less clutter in the frame.

Next time you're planning a trip, think beyond just where you want to go—when you visit can make all the difference.

It is more than a place—it is a feeling, a rhythm, a whispered invitation to wander without direction and let beauty find you. Each visit is a rediscovery, each photograph a love ... READ MORE
