Close to Home, Far in Spirit – Adventures Big and Small
This week, MadCool reminded me that unforgettable experiences don’t always require a suitcase. With summer vibes, stellar performances, and the pulse of Madrid all around, it was the kind of local magic that makes you feel like you’re a world away without ever leaving the city. It’s proof that sometimes the best trips happen right outside your door.
That said, the travel itch hasn’t gone anywhere. On the horizon are two charming city hops: Zurich and Venice, both offering a breath of fresh air and the thrill of a quick escape. Then I’ll be setting off on a longer adventure to China, ready to dive into the vibrant culture of Beijing and explore the ancient heart of Xi’an.
And while planning these getaways, I’ve been thinking a lot about smart travel habits. We’ve officially hit Travel Hack #10: this one’s about maximizing packing space by rolling clothes and using compression cubes for a tidy suitcase. I’d love to hear what tricks you swear by, because the next hack is just waiting to be discovered.
Meanwhile, creativity has been blooming closer to home too. I grabbed my camera for a spontaneous portrait session with a friend in Parque del Este, where the trees and fountains created a dreamy backdrop. It was great practice and lots of fun — so if you’re in need of fresh portraits, I’m happy to help.
With all this unfolding, there’s plenty more in the pipeline. Whether it's snapshots from upcoming adventures or bursts of inspiration from everyday moments, I’ve got lots to share. Stay tuned, stay curious and let’s keep exploring together.

Travel Hack No 10 – Stay Near the Airport – A Smart Move for Early Flights & Late Arrivals
Ever struggled to catch an early morning flight or felt drained after a late-night arrival? Booking a hotel at or near the airport can make all the difference—saving you stress, time, and even money.
Instead of waking up at the crack of dawn to battle traffic or spending extra on late-night transport, staying close to the airport ensures a smooth transition between rest and travel. Many airport hotels offer free shuttles, late check-ins, and early breakfast options tailored for travellers.
And here’s the bonus—airport hotels can often be cheaper than accommodations in busy city centres. Thanks to excellent transport links, including metro lines and express buses, you can easily reach downtown in no time, making them a budget-friendly choice without sacrificing convenience.
Whether you're catching a sunrise departure, arriving on a midnight flight, or looking for a cost-effective stay, airport hotels provide comfort and practicality when you need them most.
Next time you plan your trip, check out airport hotels—you might find the perfect balance between affordability and ease!
